Planning your Wedding
can be so stressful. Did you know that if you get the right wedding photographer, they can help? We've been in the business and we understand the 'formula' behind weddings. Think about the 'must haves,' and making a list can help!
Here are some things to consider:
Family Photos: Do you want a large group photo with extended family? Individual photos with your parents, or with the you and your spouse and parents? Great Aunt Jane? Having a list of important people to provide to your photographer can really help move along the formal photos after your ceremony. Even better, you could hand the list to someone trusted in your bridal party to help corral those important people for photos!
Details: Decide how important these photos are for you and let your photographer know. Some common items include rings, flowers, cufflinks, perfume bottles, shoes, wedding invitations, etc.
Romantics: My personal favorite! Do you want to do a first look? How much time do you want to dedicate to romantic photos with just you and your new spouse?
Cocktail Hour: Do you want photos of your wedding guests while you are tucked away for romantic photos? Personally, I think 20 minutes of coverage here is more than enough, but it's up to your preference!
and of course, Reception:
Are you doing a grand entrance? Do you have a special dance you are planning on doing when you enter? Make sure to share these details with your photographer so we are ready to capture that big moment! We can also help with making sure you're standing in the ideal location for cake cutting, and not only will we grab photos of the speeches, but some reactions from your wedding guests during those speeches!
Timing can be everything, but it shouldn't fall solely to you to figure it out. A good photographer should be able to work with you to time out the day, and more important, make sure that you still have time to enjoy your wedding, your guests, and more importantly, your wedding food! ;-)
